LMAO!
Last night the advanced class did “The Bruiser” – a little doozie I made up. I named it after a vicious dog I once had. It’s a gut buster.
8 stations, 2 minutes per stations, 2 rounds
Warm up – 5 minutes of a snatch to a windmill to a TGU
1. Landmine rotations
2. Box jumps
3. Bandit’s loops renegade rows
4. Bandit’s loops mountain climbers
5. Windmill to overhead squat
6. Ropes Gone Wild
7. Bottom up, long cycle clean and press
8. Bear crawls
Hear are some of the pictures:

Kat on the landmine rotations

Louis on the box jumps

Matt on the Bandit's loops renegade row

Julie on the Bandit's loops mountain climbers

Judy on the windmill to overhead squat

Louis on the ropes

Louis with the bottom up press

Kat with the bear crawl
We topped it off with a 3-minute snatch test.
Tomorrow’s Women’s Page article is about picking yourself up when you fall, so to speak. Take a look at the fall that took place after class last night. Kat wanted to give the 36-inch box a try. Here’s what happened:

Thanks for being a good sport, Kat! Just for the record, she DID successfully pull off the jump right before this failed attempt, but this is the one that counts, isn’t it? We rolled around on the gym floor laughing our asses off!
Her quote of the day is, “The ability to laugh – especially at yourself – is a great gift.” So true!

Your article on the Women’s Page of the Art of Strength website sounded like something out of the narrative at the end of a Grey’s Anatomy episode. That is a pretty high jump for the end of that workout.

Hi, Joe. Thanks for reading the article and visiting my blog.
I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy so I’m not sure what you mean. Please explain. Thanks.

Kind of hard to explain, but a lot of times at the end of the show there is a ‘life lesson’ type narrative for a couple minutes. During the narrative they generally play music like Ingrid Michaelson or such.
Your blog is pretty good. I like how you post the different routines that you do. The photos help a bunch as well. Too bad you don’t have a gym in Maryland.

Thanks a lot. I’m sure there will be a Punch in your area soon.
